چکیده

Abstract Blind deconvolution techniques applied to spatially and/or temporally oversampled signals have recently attracted much interest in the research community. This contribution contains an analysis of experimental data collected from an antenna array in a suburban environment. The Noise Subspace (NS) technique of [1] and the Linear Prediction (LP) method of [2, 4] are examined. The real data examples presented demonstrate a case where joint spatial and temporal deconvolution has clear benefits as compared to decoupled processing.

Bussgang blind deconvolution for impulsive signals

Many blind deconvolution algorithms have been designed to extract digital communications signals corrupted by intersymbol interference (ISI). Such algorithms generally fail when applied to signals with impulsive characteristics, such as acoustic signals. While it is possible to stabilize such procedures in many cases by imposing unit-norm constraints on the adaptive equalizer coefficient vector...

Adaptive Blind Deconvolution Using Third-Order Moments: Exploiting Asymmetry

This thesis focuses on the use of third-order statistics in adaptive blind deconvolution of asymmetric impulsive signals. Traditional methods are typically based on fourthorder moments, which can discriminate signals with heavy-tailed probability functions (i.e. ‘spiky’ signals) from corresponding filtered versions. The work herein demonstrates that, by using third-order central moments, asymme...

A contribution to (neuromorphic) blind deconvolution by flexible approximated Bayesian estimation

`Bussgang ' deconvolution techniques for blind digital channels equalization rely on a Bayesian estimator of the source sequence deened on the basis of channel/equalizer cascade model which involves the deenition of deconvolution noise. In this paper we consider four`Bussgang' blind deconvolution algorithms for uniformly-distributed source signals and investigate their numerical performances as...

Blind separation and deconvolution for convolutive mixture of speech using SIMO-model-based ICA and multichannel inverse filtering

We propose a new two-stage blind separation and deconvolution (BSD) algorithm for a convolutive mixture of speech, in which a new Single-Input Multiple-Output (SIMO)-modelbased ICA (SIMO-ICA) and blind multichannel inverse filtering are combined. SIMO-ICA can separate the mixed signals, not into monaural source signals but into SIMO-model-based signals from independent sources as they are at th...

A new pencil criterium for multichannel blind deconvolution in data communication systems

It is well known that blind channel deconvolution enables the receiver to equalize the channel simply by analyzing the received digital signal. Much of the work in 1990’s faces the challenge presented by multiple-output systems, exploiting cyclostationarity properties and multivariate formulation of the incoming data. Our proposal is twofold: on one hand, we develop a theoretical analysis of a ...
